Enrollment and Arrival Instructions

Thank you for choosing Gar Hildenbrand Alternatives Cancer Treatment & Education Program (AltCTEP) to assist you in reaching your healing goals. CHIPSA works with Gar Hildenbrand to coordinate the team of independent specialists, to meet your special physical, dietary and medical treatment needs.

Payment: If you will be admitted as an inpatient, please contact Lourdes Meza (toll-free 877-424-4772) for instructions. Outpatient funds will be managed by Immune Therapeutics, LLC. After your application has been accepted and the overall cost of your program has been determined, you will be provided information to make an initial payment by bank wire or direct deposit.

Insurance: Most Mexican medical providers do not accept U.S. insurance assignments, cards or forms as payment. CHIPSA will refer you to companies that may be able to assist you in seeking insurance reimbursement.

Getting Started: Upon receipt of your funds, you will be shipped overnight materials for vaccine blood draw and necessary lab testing. After you send the blood, please return to the website, http://www.garhildenbrand.com. Click on “Head Start” and print your diet instructions. It is necessary that you carry out these instructions very precisely in order to properly prepare for immunotherapy.

Travel arrangements: When you are accepted for AltCTEP, you will be given an arrival date for your stay at CHIPSA. Please book your flight to the San Diego International Airport (Airport code: SAN), and contact CHIPSA with 1) the name of the airline, 2) the flight number, 3)  the arrival date, 4) the arrival time and 5) the name/s of your companion/s.

Meeting the Driver: On arrival, proceed to the Traveler’s Aid Desk near your baggage claim area. You will be met at the Traveler’s Aid Desk by our driver who will be carrying a sign with your last name on it. The driver will transport you to CHIPSA where you will be greeted by our staff and settled into your accommodations.

Medical Records: If possible, please fax records (858-759-2502) at least 10 days prior to arrival date (pathology reports, current lab test results, surgical summaries, discharge summaries, radiology reports and scan CDs if available).
